What rights does the step mother of my child have?

The father and I were never married, after I had the child he's acted like he wanted to build a relationship with her but has never made an effort. He has a history of violent behavior and the reason why I left him is because he put his hands on my friend whom is a girl. Last year he met a woman and married her after knowing her for 6 months and now she demands to see my child even though the father has never even met his daughter yet. I have never met her and he barely knows her, how am I supposed to leave my child with some woman that no one knows? They don't even pay child support! Now the father is in jail on a parole violation and she's still emailing me with profanities and demands. I have a feeling she's just trying to be difficult she has no intentions of building a relationship with my daughter she's just being vindictive. I bet if I told her she could see my daughter she never would anyways just like the father. I've told the father to meet me halfway to see his daughter but has never done so. They have no money they live off the state in a crummy apartment. I own my own home, vehicle and business.
