Videogames where you don't play as a hero?

I could have worded that better. I prefer videogames where I don't play as The Hero or a nearly unstoppable death machine. I liked Star Wars Battlefront because I could play as just another storm trooper/rebel/whatever, rather than being forced into playing Darth Vader or someone else important. I like Mount&Blade because I'm no more powerful than any of my men and can die just as easily. What other games out there let you play as just another grunt (preferably involving Medieval/Sciencefiction/fantasy settings)?
