Is being competitive a bad thing?

I'm always really competitive in sports and during PE cl. For example, when we were playing badminton in PE cl, I wanted to win 8 times in a row so I played competitive/hard or my opponent...I think they all hate me now. Even though a few people told me that others say I'm very good...I heard that I got some negative comments as well. What can i do? I have PE cl again tomorrow.
