Did Kirk experience Tarsus IV? (Star Trek: 2009)?

In the new Star Trek movie (made in 2009) world, I was wondering if Kirk experienced Tarsus IV, like in the Original Series. I was hoping someone got more out of it than I (also, since I know they didn't say it straight-up, the answer is subject to your interpretation). Most likely, I'll be choosing the first answer to give me a logical conclusion to my question. Thanks.
