Could moccasins with the soft, squishy, gummy soles be worn outside?

im planning on buying moccasin boots. these boots i found were absolutely perfect, but the soles (the bottom of the shoe) were soft and squishy and gummy. It kind of looked like dried hot glue? They definitely have a lot of grip, so they're not the softsoled moccasins. I was wondering if anyone had the same type of soles on their moccasins and if it's okay to wear them outside without it getting damaged?
