Why are young people so obsessed with before marriage?

A little background will help you understand where I am coming from: I am a 29 year old male and I live at home with my family (by choice). We (parents and other adult siblings) all get along great and it doesn't cost us (the kids) a dime! A common criticism I hear is that I can't bring a girl home at night to "hook up". I have no interest in having before marriage, so that is clearly not an issue. I have never had a girlfriend yet as it is way too early for serious relationships ( I didn't get around to that first kiss yet either!). I want to get a better job as I recently completed my MA. Another thing I hear about my living at home is that I probably live in the basement.Um, I live in the house with everyone else and I have my own bedroom.That's enough. Why do people my age, especially women have to be so condescending to me?Could it be because they are extremely jealous of my decision to save money and remain single until ready?What do you think????
