Why are Muslims angry with the western world?

I can understand that western politicians and leaders tend to be hypocritical and rude, but why are Muslims so angry at western countries? It's like they want to overthrow the governments of the United States and Western Europe and islamize the entire world. I'm not being rude, I'm just wondering.
