I think the best bet would be to start charting your BBT and fertility signs so you can determine when you are ovulating. It sounds like the ultrasound confirmed that you may have already ovulated by the time you had , so it wouldn't hurt to start trying earlier this month. You get pregnant by having in the 2 or 3 days leading up to ovulation and sometimes the day of or shortly after ovulation if the sperm can get there before the egg dies. The egg normally survives for 6-24 hours. I can't answer your questions about Clomid, sorry.
