Right age to give a bj?

I'm 14 and in a really good relationship with my boyfriend of 4 months. We've both decided to not have until at least 16, but the thought of giving him a bj has crossed my mind.. He hasn't explicitly asked for one, but we've discussed it a few times. I guess what I want to know is that 1) would waiting until we've been dating for 5-6 months still be too soon? 2) can giving a bj at all show him how I want to make him happy? 3) do i just sound like a ? (No need to answer that one rudely.) Thanks
