Is he interested in me or not? Should I move on?

I'm 28 years old and quite good looking. In July 2009, I was introduced to a well educated and well earning man (dark, bald and not good looking), 10 years my senior, who had been dumped by his girlfriend (of 4 yrs) a year earlier. He fell in love with me immediately. I decided to have our engagement on December 1, and wedding on 1 May 2010. On November 1, he said he had 'cold feet' and said he wanted to 'postpone' the engagement ... but he did not mention the new date. He phones me every single day, and chats for 1 hour or more. Sometimes he says he is not serious abt marriage. So why does he talk to me everyday? We also meet on Sundays. He says he wants to be friends .... so why does he phone all the time? I've asked him this several times, and we just end up fighting. A week ago, he stopped phoning me completely. If I call, he just doesn't answer. Then on Sunday, he answered my call, spoke very rudely to me for abt 5 minutes and told me he has 'lots of girlfriends'. Yesterday was my birthday, and I was more than surprised that he phoned at 10pm only ... to wish me ... that to, rudely! Why bother wishing ... if he is going to be so rude? Why wish me at all ... if he has so many girlfriends ... and is not interested in me at all? I don't understand ... is he interested in me .. is he playing games? Why did he suddenly stop calling? Should I move on and just forget abt him?
